These series of photographs are an exploration into the world of football fans, the 12th man- as they are known around the beautiful game circles.

I decided to make a photographic documentary that would pay tribute to “Football Fan Style”. It gave me the opportunity to photo-document different characteristics from football fans around the world and how they use a football match to express their PASSION AND EMOTIONS for the game and theirs nations.

This project started in 2004 in the UK- Cardiff and roll on from the Euro 2004, it went to the South American Cup 2004 in Peru, Egypt African Cup 2004 and the World Cup in Germany 2006.

These last series of photographs I dedicate to Africa in especial my birthplace Angola.
Angola is organizing the next African Cup in the 2010. These photographs are an invite to visit and discover Angola while enjoying the football. Come & celebrate football in Africa- Angola. 4 beautiful cities will be waiting for football fans, Luanda, Benguela, Cabinda e Lubango will host the games.
